This is a game started by Jeff Pulver where you write 5 revealing things about yourself and tag/link to 5 other bloggers.Cycle Snack: tagged me so now I continue the game.
- I have only been riding mountain bikes for 4 years. I am definitely hooked on biking as it's all I think about. My wife has no interest in it, but she is happy that I have something that makes me happy. I have 2 mountain bikes that I ride seasonally.
- I left school early without any qualifications and got a full time job as soon as I was able. I have never been out of work or signed on the dole.
- I bought my house and got married 10 years ago. I can go to work and come home to relax or go riding without having or being bothered to do anything around the house, my wife does the lot!
- I have nothing to do with my so called family ie: mum, dad, brothers & sisters. As they are selfish and slag each other off. My step dad beat me up as a kid, sending me to school with black eyes while my mum stood by and watched. I spent most of my childhood in and out of children homes for my own protection. But my mother always got a conscience and dragged me back home for more beatings.
- I am 36 years old and still listen to Heavy Metal. I love most of the new bands, but still listen to the likes of Iron Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth, Motley crue, and a lot more.
It's the beginning of December and all I can think of is getting back on the trails again. My full susser has not seen the light of day since the end of October, and I came down with the man flu. Due to the weather being so cold and wet, I have resulted to riding what's referred to as my ratt bike. I use it to commute to and from work, and training rides when I'm not dying!!
Recently I started to feel better and so went out for a leisurely ride. Upon returning home I started to feel like crap again, and my sneezing fits returned.
2 weeks have passed since then and now it's a case of stuffiness, but feel I fine within myself. It's a tough call as to whether or not I should go out and ride though, the urge is so great, it's driving me mad.
A question I have been asking myself every time I come down with the man flu is, how do I avoid colds & flu and continue riding like a pro through the cold season?

About me
This blog is all about my life… my life of mountain biking and ideas I’ve acquired through the years. As an average everyday mountain biker, the learning doesn’t stop. I try to feed my mind in my own little way by writing and promoting this blog. I would like to share what I have learned through this blog with you. Let this blog be an additional resource for your mountain bike needs, and maybe you'll find some much needed ideas you may not have given much thought to before.
My name is Paul Walton, an engineer slave and spare time mountain biker/blogger. Blogging about mountain bikes has become and undying passion, spending most weekends and afternoons on the internet blogging. As well as riding bikes, writing about it also is what I love to do.
