I have been away with the family, getting back last Saturday. So I would like to apologize to all those entrecarders dropping on me for the lack of return drops!

Mountain biking has been really slow since I got back, because as I understand it, the weather has done nothing but rain for almost 2 weeks now. And the sunshine that we have had, has been cut short by more sodding rain as it is right now!

This is my excuse for not posting anything on my blog, due to having nothing to say!!!

I'm sat here right now thinking about my next sentence/paragraph, and cannot help but turn my attention to the living room window, BLOODY WEATHER!!!As I have had almost 2 weeks off work, the lack of riding has caused lack of sleep and aches and pains... So far in 2 weeks I have had 3 bike rides totaling 3 uncomfortable hours in the saddle. It's times like these that my weaknesses show up with inconsistent riding, and I feel the need to go back to basics!

I'm sat here right now thinking about my next sentence/paragraph, and cannot help but turn my attention to the living room window, BLOODY WEATHER!!!

Although I am moaning in this post, I did manage to get out today for 2 hours, so I should feel comfortable in bed tonight! It was a strange day... I woke up about 7-7:30am to a really dull threatening morning. By 10am, the sun was shining so strong my leg felt like it was burning by the rays through the living room window. I wanted to get out then but thought better off leaving it until the afternoon. At least I can have a drink outside the Rutland arms on my way back without having to rush back. Bugger that, I'll sit inside, "too many Wasps for my liking"!
Normally I would have a pint of Fosters or a coke, but as I have put myself on a more water diet. I decided on a can of Monster energy drink, "good start"! I must admit though, I felt a lot better on my way home!!!

As I got back onto the canal towpath, I started to crank those pedals hard and fast, into a face full of thunder flies, "cough, spit, snot" as the black clouds started to lurk above me. As I rode along the towpath I was forced to reduce my speed as lots of ramblers were ahead of me. I could feel the odd heavy drop of rain on me as I made my way through them. I just managed to get back into my village when, "it started to piss it down" this was at 3pm and it has not stopped since!

I only commute to work on the bike if the weathers fine; if it's raining I take the car. - I seem to be taking the car most of the time just recently!

If you want to get out and ride more than once a year you can't be a fair weather rider.

very true redbike I can't be a fair weather rider and I am not, I just don't like the clean up afterwards!

It's raining buckets and I'm sweating buckets, not an ideal situation for cleaning bikes!

were the big group of ramblers about 50 old people ? if so i was either slightly ahead or behind you lol i had set out with the intention of doing a nice 40miler but as soon as i head out the door it started raining . after 30 or so miles i gave up as i was too wet and my pads are ruining my rims

depends if the other half is joining me . if she does there wont be enough room as its only a 106 . but if she is busy and i can get the use of the car 2 bikes should fit in the back with all wheels removed
