Get a 29er single speed with some squish! Keep the hardtail as a back up because you never know when you might need it but don't forget to give it some lovin' from time to time. Otherwise, why keep it. I guess if you don't like it then replace it. I love all bikes and ride them faithfully.

It's been more than a decade since I sold my bike. I can't seem to relate now. I used to have a Merlin frame. Front is Manitou, with an XTR gruppo. Stem and bars were Easton, Smoke tires, Mavic rims and SPDs. Everything else were titanium with carbon bar ends. My saddle of course was Flite. Had to sell it because of my Glaucoma.

I miss my weekend rides. Go with a frame and build it up from there.
